In a town where your clients are your neighbours, your friends, the parents of your children’s school mates, taking care of their insurance needs becomes more than a job.It becomes a commitment to a way of life. "People want to find someone they can trust", notes Marc Bondy of Bondy Insurance. "No one here is on commission so there is no incentive to sell. We just take care of our clients needs. People feel that"."We explain things to help people make decisions", adds Carol McMinn who has been with the company for 23 years. In fact, three of the five employees have been with the company for at least 22 years including Joanne Aussant & Denise Lock. "We spent more time here together than we do with our families," says Carol. "There's got to be something that works".

Bondy Insurance was opened by Ernest Bondy, under the name of Ernest R.J. Bondy in October of 1963. Ernest and his wife Aline ran the business out of their century old farm house on Malden Road for many years."He was a very hard working man," says Carol. "He built the business and its reputation from scratch". Marc joined his father's business in 1980. His brother Rosaire came in 1990. They are now partners in their business. "Marc and Rosaire inherited the trust and they have sustained it," says Carol.

As LaSalle grew, so did Bondy Insurance. The two men moved the business to Front Road (at Maple) in 1994.
